An Investigation Team of CASS Law Institute and CASS Institute of International Law Led by Professor Mo Jihong Carries out “One Hundred Cities, One Hundred Counties and One Hundred Enterprises” Investigation in Tongzhou District of Beijing Municipality

On July 17-29, 2018, an investigation of CASS Law Institute and CASS Institute of International Law, led by Professor Mo Jihong, Deputy Director of the Institute, carried out “One Hundred Cities, One Hundred Counties and One Hundred Enterprises” investigation in Tongzhou District of Beijing Municipality in celebration of the 40th anniversary of reform and opening up to the outside world in China.

On the morning of 17, 2018, members of the investigation team held a meeting with Mr. Liu Lei, Deputy Head of the Publicity Department of the Party Committee of the District. In the meeting, Mr. Liu gave members of the investigation team a detailed introduction to the functional position and historical evolution of Tongzhou District, the current situation of the construction of Sub-Centre, the industrial structure layout, the cultural history of the Grand Canal, the utilization of water resources, and the construction of the ecological system in the district. Professor Mo thanked Mr. Liu and his department for making thoughtful arrangements and providing effective safeguards for the investigation, gave him a brief introduction to the basic situation of CASS Law Institute and CASS Institute of International Law, and exchanged opinions with him on the background, requirements, the theme and the objectives of the investigation.

On the morning of the July 18, the investigation team visited the Museum of Tongzhou District and carried out investigation on the ecological construction in the Grand Canal Forest Park.

 

On the afternoon of July 18, the investigation team carried out investigation in Songzhuang Art District and then visited the Sub-Center Planning Exhibition.

On the morning of July 19, the investigation team visited Zhangjiawan Museum to get a better understanding of the history of the Grand Canal and the development of ancient town of Zhangjiawan, and then visited Wenwangge Museum of Woodcraft.

On the afternoon of July 19, members of the investigation team attended a colloquium at the Conference Center of Tongzhou District, in which they carried out in-depth discussion with leaders of the publicity department, the Comprehensive Management Office, and the Planning Office of the District on the institutional innovation, the experiences, the achievements and other theoretical and practical issues in the construction of the sub-center.
