On March 6, 2018, a meeting was held between Professor Chen Su, Director of CASS Law Institute, and Professor Jean-François Gaudreault-Desbiens, Dean of the Law Faculty of University of Montreal, Canada, on the cooperation between the two institutions and the activities of the CASS-Montreal University Center for ChinaStudies.At the meeting, Professor Chen Su, extended warm welcome to Professor Gaudreault-Desbiens. Hefully recognized the achievements of the bilateral cooperation between the two institutions, and thanked the University of Montreal and Professor Gaudreault-Desbiens for their support to the work of Center for China Studies.Professor Gaudreault-Desbiens thanked the Law Institute and Professor Chen Su for their warm welcome. He pointed out that the Law Faculty of the University of Montreal attaches high importance to the cooperation with CASS Law Institute; the establishment of Center for China Studies was an important step in this respect. The University and the Law Faculty will take this opportunity to strengthen the bilateral cooperation with CASS Law Institute and have full confidence in the cooperation and in the development of the Center for China Studies. Professor Chen Su pointed out that CASS Law Institute also attaches great importance to the cooperation with University of Montreal and its Law Faculty and to the activities of the Center for China Law Studies. He hoped that the two institutions will give full play to this platform to carry out various forms of effective cooperation. The host and guest exchanged views and reached broad agreements on the cooperation to be carried out between the two institutions and the main activities of the Center in the year 2018.aaAlso attending the meeting were Professor Zhou Hanhua, Assistant Director of CASS Law Institute, Professor Xi Yuemin, Head of the Economic Law Department of the Institute, and Professor XieZengyi, Head of the Department of Research Coordination and International Cooperation of the Institute.
