A ceremony for the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the Department of Rule of Law Strategy of CASS Law Institute and CASS Institute of International Law and the Legal System Research Center of the Government of Yunnan Province was held at CASS Law Institute on September 27, 2018. The agreement was a concrete measure for the implementation of strategic cooperation agreement signed by the CASS Law Institute and the Legislative Affairs Office of the Government of Yunnan Province on July 30, 2018.

At the ceremony, Professor Li Zhong, Head of the Department of Rule of Law Strategy of CASS Law Institute and CASS Institute of International Law, and Mr. Qin Shaojun, Director of the Legal System Research Center of the Government of Yunnan Province, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions. According to the agreement, the Department and Research Center will carry out cooperation on such matters as the governance of areas in which a multiethnic population living together, the protection of the ecology, and the construction of radiation center, with a view to providing intellectual support to Yunnan Province in its effort to build itself into a demonstration region of ethnic unity and progress, a pioneer province in the construction of economic civilization, and a center of radiation to South and Southeast Asia. The ceremony was also attended by Professor Chen Xinxin, Deputy Head of the Department of Rule of Law Strategy of CASS Law Institute and CASS Institute of International Law, and Mr. Zhang Sheng, Assistant Director of the Legal System Research Center of the Government of Yunnan Province. After the signing of the agreement, a ceremony was held for the launching of Research Base of the Department of Rule of Law Strategy of CASS Law Institute and CASS Institute of International Law in Yunnan Province.
