The Ninth Sino-Finnish Bilateral Seminar on Comparative Law Held in Beijing

On September 20-21, 2018, the Ninth Sino-Finnish Bilateral Seminar on Comparative Law was held at CASS Law Institute in Beijing. The seminar, as a part of a series of activities held in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of CASS Law Institute, was attended by experts and scholars from the Law School and China Law and Chinese Legal Culture Research Center of University of Helsinki, Law School of Eastern Finland, Hanken School of Economics, Lappeenranta University of Technology, the Law School of Copenhagen university, Law School of Lund University, CASS Law Institute and many other Chinese universities, research institutions. The seminar was divided into five unites, which the participants gave speeches and carried out discussions on a wide range of issues around such topics as new development of rule of law in China and Finland, Internet (sharing) economy and legal reform, new development in labor law and social welfare system, new development in environmental law and codification of civil law.
