The First Roundtable on Maritime Law and the China Maritime Forum (2018) Held in Beijing

The First Roundtable on Maritime Law and the China Maritime Forum (2018), jointly sponsored by CASS Law Institute and CASS Institute of International Law and organized by the “Belt and Road” Judicial Research Base of the Supreme People’s Court, were held in Beijing on September 21, 2018. The event was attended by over 80 experts and scholars from various judicial organs, government departments, colleges and universities, research institutions, industrial organizations, academic societies and enterprises. At the roundtable and forum, the participants gave speeches and carried out heated discussions on a wide range of issues around such topics as the historical development and the scope of application of maritime law, and the General Provisions, the provisions on international contract of carriage of goods by sea, inland water transport, and inland vessels inthe Draft Amendment to the Maritime Law of the People’s Republic of China. The roundtable and forum were a part of a series of activities held in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of CASS Law Institute.
