This book, by relying a scientific system of indices of judicial transparency created by CASS Law and CASS Center for National Index of Rule of Law, carries out quantitative assessment of judicial openness and uses concrete data to measure and interpret judicial transparency in China. The assessment covers people’s courts and people’s procuratorates at all four different levels, as well as maritime courts throughout the country. Through precise problem-focus method and top-level design, the assessment has not only directly promoted the practice of judicial openness, but greatly enriched and improved the system of judicial openness, and deepened the judicial reform and promoted the realization of fairness and justice in a visible way in China.
