The2018 (Seventh) Internet Conference: the Forum on Personal Information Protection Held in Beijing

On the morning of July 12, 2018, the 2018 (Seventh) Internet Conference: the Forum on Personal Information Protection, sponsored by Internet Society of China and organized by Working Committee on Personal Information Protection of Internet Society of China, the Cyber and Information Law Department of CASS Law Institute and the Internet Law Research Center of China Academy of Information and Communication Technology was successfully held at the National Convention Center in Beijing.The forum was attended by over 500 persons, including representatives from government organs, research institutions, universities, the Internet industry, the media, and students of cyber and information law from CASS University.

In the dialogue unit, presided over by Professor Shi Jianzhong, Vice President of China University of Political Science and Law, the deans of law schools of Tsinghua University, Jilin University, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Beijing Normal University, and Renmin University of China carried out deep-going dialogue around the protection of personal information.

Next, representatives from the Internet and information industry, including Huawei, Alibaba, Tencent, 360, JD.com, China Telecom, China Mobile, China Academy of Information and Communication Technology, gave keynote speeches at the Forum.

Professor Zhou Hanhua, Assistant Director of CASS Law Institute and Head of Cyber and Information Law Department of CASS Law Institute, gave a keynote speech at the forum.Dr. Zhou Hui, an assistant research fellow at the Cyber and Information Law Department of CASS Law Institute and Deputy Secretary-general of the Working Committee on Personal Information Protection of Internet Society of China, also attended the forum.
