The launching ceremony of the Bank Recovery and Disposal Legal Research Center and the Spring Forum on Bank Recovery and Disposal, jointly organized by the School of Humanity and Law and the Economic Law Institute of North China University of Technology and Beijing Dacheng Law Firm, were held at North China University of Technology in Beijing on March 31, 2018. The event was attended by over 30 experts, scholars, government officials and lawyers from various universities, research institutions and law firms in China, including Renmin University of China, China University of Political Science and Law, CASS Law Institute, CASS Institute of International Law, Development Research Center of the State Council, Beijing Normal University, University of International Business and Economics, Northwest University of Political Science and Law, Liaoning University, Liaoning University of Science and Technology, North China University of Technology, China Construction Bank, ICBC Financial Asset Investment Co. LTD., China Huarong Asset Management Co. LTD., Beijing Dacheng Law Firm, W & H Law Firm, MAZARS, Dagong Global Credit Rating Group, and Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants. At the forum, the participants gave keynote speeches and carried out discussions around the topic of “the legal system of bank recovery and disposal” and put forward practical proposals on the prevention and control of systematic financial risks in China.

Professor Liao Fan, Head of the Department of Research Coordination and International Cooperation of CASS Institute of International Law, gave a keynote speech on the setup and functions of deposit insurance agencies in China. Professor Xi Yueming, Head of the Economic Law Department of CASS Law Institute, gave a speech at the launching ceremony of Bank Recovery and Disposal Legal Research Center.
