Professor Deng Zibin Attends the Seminar on Multi-Dimension Reading of Leal Materials

On January 10, 2018, the Seminar on “Multi-Dimension Reading of Leal Materials”, jointly organized by the Law School of Peking University and Peking University Press, was held in Beijing. The seminar was divided into two parts in which ten outstanding legal scholars in China carried out discussions on various issues around the relationships between law and society and between law and culture. At the first part of the seminar, presided over by Ms. Bai Lili, an editor of Peking University Press, Professor Zhu Suli and Professor Chen Ruihua from the Law School of Peking University, Professor Wang Renbo from the Law School of China University of Political Science and Law, and Professor Xu Zhangrun from the Law School of Tsinghua University each gave a keynote speech on various issues relating to “law and society”. At the second part of the seminar, presided over by Ms. Yang Yujie, another editor of Peking University Press, Professor Chen Hu from the Law School of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Professor Zhou Xiang from the School of Criminal Justice of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, and Professor Liu Chunyuan from the Law School of Shanxi University each gave a keynote speech on various issues relating to “law and culture”. Mr. He Fan from the Supreme People’s Court, Professor Deng Zibin from CASS Law Institute, and Professor Che Hao from the Law School of Peking University served as commentators at the the seminar.
