On the afternoon of December 13, 2017, the CEO of Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), Ms. Lin Shuhui, visited CASS Law Institute and held a meeting with Professor Liu Jingdong, Head of the Department of International Economic Law of CASS Institute of International Law. Also attending the meeting were Mr. Liu Rendong, Chief Representative of SIAC Shanghai Office, and Ms. He Jingjing, an associate research fellow of the Department of International Economic Law of CASS Institute of International Law.

In the meeting, Professor Liu extended warm welcome to Ms. Lin and introduced to her the researches carried out and activities organized by his Department in the field of international arbitration, including a series of lectures given by world-famous international arbitrators and a series of roundtables on international arbitration.

Ms. Lin introduced to Professor Liu the new rules adopted by SIAC, especially the EP procedure, and exchanged views with him on some hot issues in the current international commercial arbitration and international investment arbitration. At the end of the meeting the host and guest reached a consensus on the cooperation between CASS Institute of International Law on the revision of the Chinese Arbitration Law and discussed concrete arrangments for the cooperation.
