On September 26, 2017, the Sixth Lecture of Innovation Forum of CASS Law Institute and CASS Institute of International Law in 2017 was successfully held at the conference room of the two institutes. The lecture, entitled “Several Issues in the Revision of Anti-unfair Competition Law”, was given by Professor Li Mingde, presided over by Professor Guan Yuying, and attended by about 50 graduate students, Ph.D. candidates and post-doctoral researchers. In the lecture, Professor Li first gave an introduction to the general situation of the adoption and revision of the Anti-unfair Competition Law in China. Next, on the basis of the different drafts of the amendment to the Law, he analyzed the main issues in the revision of the Law from the following six perspectives: “anti-unfair competition law as a law that protects the achievements of intellectual activities”, “anti-unfair competition law not an anti-trust law”, “anti-unfair competition law not a law on the protection of consumers”, “anti-unfair competition law not a law against commercial bribery”, “anti-unfair competition law not a law on the protection of technical measures”, and “general provisions and concrete cases”. Finally, Professor Li summarized the achievements made and problems faced by China in the revision of the anti-unfair competition law. After the lecture, Professor Li exchanged opinions with some researchers of the Department of Intellectual Property Law of the CASS Law Institute on some the issues discussed in the lecture.
