The Sixth National Congress and the 26th Academic Conference of Chinese Society of Criminology were held in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province on August 24-25, 2017. At the Congress, an election was held for the new Executive Council of the Society. Professor Huang He, the President of the National Prosecutors College, was elected the chairman of the Executive Council. 19 experts and scholars from various universities, research institutions and government organs, including Professor Liu Renwen, Head of the Criminal Law Department of CASS Law Institute, were elected vice chairpersons of the Executive Council. Also elected at the Congress were 147 members and 67 executive members of the Council.
