Professor Xie Zengyi and Professor Li Xixia Attend the Seminar on “Opportunities and Challenges of Investment in Africa: Labor Law Order and Risks in Africa”

On May 27, 2017, the Seminar on “Opportunities and Challenges of Investment in Africa: Labor Law Order and Risks in Africa”, sponsored by Beijing Foreign Studies University and jointly organized by the Law School of Beijing Foreign Studies University, China Law and Foreign Relations Research Center, China-Africa Legal Research Center and China-Africa Legal Training Base was successfully held in Beijing under the guidance of China Law Society. The seminar was divided into three units and attended by representatives from various universities, research institutions, government organs, international organizations and law firms from China and Africa. During the seminar, the participants gave keynote speeches and carried out discussions around various topics relating to the theme of the seminar, including “labor standards and labor theories in China and Africa”, “restrictions on and protection of foreign employees in China and Africa”, and “oversees investment in China and Africa”. Professor Xie Zengyi from CASS Institute of Law and Professor Li Xixia from CASS Institute of International Law attended the seminar. Professor Xie served as the commentator at the second session of the seminar and Professor Li served as the commentator at the third session of the seminar.
