A Delegation of CASS Law Institute and CASS Institute of International Law Attends the Sixth Euro-Asian Anti-Corruption Forum in Moscow

On April 25-28, 2017, a three-member delegation of CASS Law Institute and CASS Institute of International Law attended the European Asian Anti-corruption Forum in Moscow at the invitation of the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the Government of Russian Federation. The delegation was headed by Professor Chen Su, Secretary of the Party Committee of the two institutes. The other two members of the delegation were Professor Liu Hongyan and Liu Xiaomei. The forum was organized by the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the Government of Russian Federation and attended by over 300 scholars and government officials from near 20 European and Asian countries, including China, France, Austria, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. It took “Social Control as a Key Anti-Corruption Factor” as its theme and divided into an opening ceremony, two plenary sessions, eight group sessions and a closing ceremony. Professor Chen Su gave a lecture entitled “strategic transition of anti-corruption legislation in China” at the second plenary session. Professor Liu Hongyan and Professor Liu Xiaomei each gave a keynote speech on “the systematic construction of anti-corruption legislation in China” and “the reform and the social supervision mechanism of the State Supervision Committee in China”, respectively, at the fifth group session—“the Roundtable on Anti-Corruption Legal Control Measures in China, Japan, South Korean and Other East Asian Countries”. Professor Chen Su gave a concluding speech at the end of the session. After the Forum, members of the CASS delegation held a meeting with Ms. Khabrieva, Director of the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the Government of Russian Federation. At the meeting, the host and the guests reviewed the results of the past cooperation between their respective institutions and expressed the hope to continue and strengthen the cooperation in the future.
