Professor Li Xixia Attends the Seminar on Legal Issues Relating to Employment Discrimination against Women under the Universal Two Children Policy and Countermeasures Thereof

On March 17, 2017, the Seminar on Legal Issues Relating to Employment Discrimination against Women under the Universal Two Children Policy and Countermeasures Thereof was held in Beijing. The seminar was organized by the Law School of Renmin University of China and attended by representatives from various universities, research institutions and government organs in Beijing, including Tsinghua University, China University of Political Science and Law, Peking University, the Civil Affairs Bureau of Beijing Municipality, China Trustee Association, CASS, Capital University of Economics and Business, China Women’s University, the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of Chaoyang District, Beijing Municipality, the Legislative Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Chaoyang District, Beijing Universities. At the seminar, the representatives carried out in-depth discussions on various issues relating to the theme of the seminar. Professor Li Xixia, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Chinese Review of International Law, a bimonthly journal published by CASS Institute of International Law, attended the seminar and gave a speech at the seminar. In the speech, she held that employment discrimination against women under universal two children policy is the result of combined effect of multiple factors and therefore can be solved only through the adoption of multiple measures.
