The Seminar on Internet Sovereignty and the System of the Rule of Law” Successfully Held in Beijing

On January 15, 2017, the Seminar on Internet Sovereignty and the System of the Rule of Law” was successfully held at CASS Law Institute in Beijing. The seminar was jointly sponsored by the Institute for Governance and Law in Cyberspace, Cyberspace Governance Innovation Research Initiative and the Editorial Board of Blue Book on the Rule of Law in Cyberspace, convened by Professor Zhi Zhenfeng, an associate research fellow of CASS Law Institute and the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Global Law Review, and attended by experts and scholars from China Law Society, China Institute of Cyberspace Strategy, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, Renmin University of China, Jilin University and Sichuan University, as well as journalists from such mass media as Guangming Daily, Legal Daily, People’s Public Security Daily, and Science and Technology Daily. At the seminar, which was divided into two units, the participants gave speeches and carried out discussions around the topics of “Internet sovereignty and cyber security” and “cyber governance and the system of the rule of law”.
