On May 10, 2017, a tripartite framework agreement on strategic cooperation was signed between CASS Law Institute, Shanghai Academy and Shanghai University. The signing ceremony, held in the main campus of Shanghai University, was presided over by Professor Zhu Cheng, Head of Cooperation Department of Shanghai Academy. Professor Li Lin, Director of CASS Law Institute, signed the agreement on behalf of his Institute. The agreement was formulated in accordance with the cooperation agreement between CASS and the Government of Shanghai Municipality and the Charter of Shanghai Academy and embodies such principles as equality and free will, consistence between rights and obligations, and win-win. It aims at further strengthening the cooperation between the three institutions in the areas of disciplinary construction, training of personnel, implementation of projects and academic research by giving full play to the academic resources and influence of CASS Law Institute, the platform of Shanghai Academy and the advantages of the (Law School) of Shanghai University. After the signing ceremony, Professor Li Lin gave a lecture entitled “The Key and Difficult Issues in the Comprehensive Advancement of Ruling the Country by Law” at Shanghai University. The signing ceremony and the lecture were attended by over 200 teachers and students from Shanghai University.
