On the afternoon of March 23, 2017, Ms. Liu Yandong, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and a Vice Premier of the State Council, visited CASS. During the visit, she first looked at the exhibition of CASS Think Tank and the Exhibition of the History of CASS Graduate School and then held a colloquium with some CASS leaders and scholars to solicit their opinions on various issues. She pointed out that CASS had mad important contributions to strengthening the position of Marxism, improving the disciplinary system of philosophy and social sciences, servicing the decision-making of the Party and the government and economic and social development, and raising China’s international voice and influence. She expressed the hope that CASS would make new contributions to the construction of philosophy and social sciences with Chinese characteristics and to the adherence and development of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
