“The Presentation of Major Achievements of CASS Innovation Projects in 2016: Special Session on Researches Results on Ruling the Country by Law” Successfully Held in Beijing

“The Presentation of Major Achievements of CASS Innovation Projects in 2016: Special Session on the Research Results on Ruling the Country by Law”, jointly organized by CASS, CASS Bureau of Scientific Research Management, CASS Law Institute, CASS Institute of International Law, and China Social Sciences Press, was successfully held in Beijing on the afternoon of January 16, 2017. Since the implementation of innovation projects, CASS has held presentation of major research results for several consecutive years and the presentation of research results on ruling the country by law has been one of its important components. The research results presented in this session were made by the relevant experts of CASS Law Institute and CASS Institute of International Law. In 2016, the two institutes had published a total of 14 national think tank reports, eight of them were presented at this session. They included: Third Party Assessment Report on the Disclosure of Government Information in China (2015); Assessment Report on the Transparency of Government Procurement (2016); Assessment Report on the Publication of Annual Reports on the Work of Disclosure of Government information (2016); Third Party Report on the Informatization of Courts in China; Assessment Report on the Work of Basically Overcoming Difficulties in the Execution of Court Judgments: Taking the Intermediate People’s Court of Shenzhen City as a Sample; Theory and Practice of “Overall Outlook on the Popularization of and Education on the Rule of Law”; Research on the Construction of the System of Intra-Party Regulations; and Research on the Construction of the Legal System of Culture and Media. The event was attended by over 50 persons, including researchers from CASS Law Institute and CASS Institute of International Law and journalists from various mass medias, including Guangming Daily, Legal Daily, People’s Court Daily, China Radio International, Xinhua News Agency, People.com.cn, China News, China Network, www.youth.cn, China Business Network, www.cssn.cn, Chinese Social Sciences Weekly, and Social Sciences in China Press.
