On November 28-30, 2016, a three-member delegation of CASS Institute of International Law, headed by Director Chen Zexian, visited Italy in accordance with the CASS-CNR cooperation project “Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and the Implementation of UN Millennium Development Goals” and a cooperation agreement between CASS Institute of International Law and Macerata University. The other two members of the delegation were Professor Liu Huawen, Assistant Director of the Institute, and Mr. Li Qingming, an associate research fellow of the Institute. Members of the delegation attended a colloquium on the cooperation between China and Italy in the field of law at the Headquarters of CNR on November 28, held a meeting with Professor Ermanno Calzolaio, Dean of the Law School of Macerata University, on the morning of November 29, and gave lectures on “sustainable development and human rights” at Macerata University on the afternoon of November 29. The visit and related activities were successful and fruitful. The relevant Italian institutions and scholars had attached great important to and recognized great potential of the exchange and cooperation between the two countries in the field of law, especially in the field of international law.
