On November 17, 2016, a ceremony was held at the Ministry of Justice in which eight prominent legal experts were appointed legal advisors to the Ministry. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Zhao Dacheng, Deputy Ministry of Justice and attended by the leaders of the various departments under the Ministry. The Minister of Justice, Mr. Wu Aiying, gave a speech at the ceremony and issued the letters of appointment to the experts. The eight experts were: Professor Ma Huaide from China University of Political Science and Law; Mr. Wang Junfeng, a lawyer from the law firm King & Wood Mallesons; Professor Wang Minyuan, a research fellow from CASS Law Institute; Mr. Zhang Xuebing, a lawyer from Beijing Zhong Lun Law Firm; Mr. Li Yimin, Chairman of Hebei Law Society; Mr. Gao Zicheng, a lawyer from Beijing Kangda Law Firm; Professor Gu Yongzhong from China University of Political Science and Law; and Professor Huang Feng from Beijing Normal University. They were appointed for a term of five years in accordance with the Opinions of the Ministry of Justice on the Implementation of the Plan for the Appointment of Legal Advisors.
