On the morning of May 17, 2016, the Ceremony for the Engagement of Professor Shi Junzhi as a Research Fellow of CASS Law Institute and Academic Lecture on “The Practical Significance of the History of Monetary Legal System in China” was Held at CASS Law Institute. Before the ceremony, a meeting was held between Professor Shi Junzhi and Professor Li Lin, Director of CASS Law Institute, and Professor Chen Su, Secretary of the Joint Party Committee of CASS Law Institute and CASS Institute of International Law, in which the issues of combining theory with practice in the field of legal history and other academic fields and the cooperation between mobile post-doctoral stations were discussed. At the ceremony, which was presided over by Professor Chen Su, Director Li Lin declared the decision of CASS Law Institute to engage Professor Shi as a research follow of the Institute and issued him the engagement letter. After the ceremony, Professor Shi gave a lecture on “The Practical Significance of the History of Monetary Legal System”.

Professor Shi Junzhi has a Ph.D. in Ancient Chinese History (School of History, Beijing Normal University), a Ph.D. in Law (Law School of Renmin University of China), and a Ph.D. in Economics (School of Finance of Tsinghua University). He is currently the CEO of the National Trust Ltd, a research fellow at CASS Institute of Finance,a member of the Executive Council of Civil and Commercial Law Research Committee of Beijing Law Society, a vice chairman of China Optimization Society of Capital Construction, and the Director of the Center for the Study of the History of Monetary Legal System of South China University of Technology. His has conducted many years of research on the history of Chinese monetary legal system and published many important works in this field.
