A Delegation of CASS Law Institute and CASS Institute of International Law Visits University of Melbourne

On May 1-5, 2016, a delegation of CASS Law Institute and CASS Institute of International Law made a three-day visit to Melbourne University in Australia at the Invitation of the Law School of Melbourne University. The four-member delegation was headed by Professor Mo Jihong, Deputy Director of CASS Law Institute and Vice President of the International Association of Constitutional Law (IACL). The other three members of the delegation were: Mr. Zhi Zhenfeng, an associate research fellow of CASS law Institute, Ms. Wang Xiaomei, an associate research fellow of CASS Law Institute, and Mr. Tian Fu, an assistant research fellow of CASS Institute of International Law. During the visit, the delegation attended the Melbourne Roundtable “Invisible Constitution: a Comparative Perspective”, organized by IACL and held on May 2-3. As a vice president of IACL, Professor Mo Jihong also attended a meeting of the Executive Committee of IACL, held on the afternoon of May 3. On the morning of May 4, members of the delegation attended the Sino-Australia Seminar on Comparative Law, at which they carried out discussions with their Australian colleagues on such issues as the rights of aliens, administration of foreign-based NGOs, and the rights of immigrants. After the seminar, Professor Mo exchanged opinions with Professor Simon Evans, Vice President of Melbourne University, and Professor Adrienne Stone, Dean of the Law School of Melbourne University, on further cooperation between the CASS Law Institute and Melbourne University in the exchange of graduate students and scholars.
