On May 11, 2016, CASS Law Institute and CASS Institute of International Law Signed a Framework Agreement on Strategic Cooperation with the Law Society of Henan Province in Zhengzhou City. After the signing of the agreement, Professor Li Lin, Director of CASS Law Institute, and Mr. Liu Manchang, Chairman of Law Society of Henan Province, jointly unveiled the nameplate of “Research and Teaching Basis of CASS Law Institute in Henan Province”, which marked the formal establishment of normalized cooperation mechanism and the start of extensive cooperation in the fields of research and teaching between the two organizations.

According to the cooperation agreement, the two organizations will jointly build a “Research and Teaching Basis of CASS Law Institute in Henan Province” as a high-end cradle for legal talents and high-end legal think tank, establish a cooperation in the enrollment of graduate student between the Law Faculty of CASS Graduate School and three universities in Henan Province, namely Zhengzhou University, Henan University, and Henan University of Economics and Law; participate in the legislative work of and provide advisory opinions to cities directly under the provincial government, help local government to train legislative personnel, and carried out joint countermeasures studies on major issues of the rule of law in light of the need of the construction of the rule of law in Henan Province.

Also attending the event were Professor Zhang Guangxing, Editor-in-Chief of Chinese Journal of Law, Professor Li Zhong, Head of the Department of Strategic Research on the Rule of Law of CASS Law Institute and CASS Institute of International Law, Professor Zhai Guoqiang, Deputy Head of the Department of Constitutional Law and Administrative Law of CASS Law Institute, and Professor Liu Xiaomei, Deputy Head Librarian of CASS Law Library.
