Professor Liu Renwen Gives a Keynote Speech at the Fourth High-end Forum on the Prevention of Criminal Risks of Entrepreneurs and Economic Development

On April 9-10, 2016, the Fourth High-end Forum on the Prevention of Criminal Risks of Entrepreneurs and Economic Development and the Launching of the Report on Criminal Risks of Entrepreneurs, jointly organized by the Chinese Center for the Prevention of Crimes Committed by Entrepreneurs of Beijing Normal University and the Anti-Corruption Bureau of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, was held in Beijing. The forum, aimed at drawing public attention to the issue of criminal risks of Chinese entrepreneurs and promoting the healthy development of Chinese enterprises and the progress of the rule of law in China, was attended by over 400 participants, including scholars and experts in the fields criminology, criminal law, and economic law from over 30 colleges, universities and research institutions throughout the country, representatives of business circles, judicial circles and lawyers’ circles, as well as reporters from such mainstream media as Xinhua News Agency, Legal Daily, Procuratorial Daily, and Economic Daily. At the Forum, the participants carried out in-depth discussions on various issues around the topics of “the construction of a mechanism for the prevention and control of the risks of corruption by enterprises and entrepreneurs” and “corporate governance and the prevention and control of enterprises’ legal risks”. Professor Liu Renwen, Head of the Criminal Law Department of CASS Law Institute, attended the forum and delivered a keynote speech at the forum as one of six specially invited guests.
