Professor Zhou Hanhua and Professor Zhi Zhenfeng Attend the Launching of the Annual Report on the Implementation of the Rule of Law (2015) in China and the Seminar on the Implementation of the Rule of Law under the Strategic Arrangement of “Four Comprehensivenesses”

In the Morning of March 27, 2016, the Launching of the Annual Report on the Implementation of the Rule of Law in China (2015) and the Seminar on the Implementation of the Rule of Law under the Strategic Arrangement of “Four Comprehensivenesses” were held in Beijing. The event was attended by near 100 experts, including officials from such government organs as the Supreme People’s Court, the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, the National People’s Congress, and the State Council, scholars from such research institutions and universities as Peking University, Renmin University of China, CASS Law Institute, University of International Business and Economics, Tianjin University, and Zhongnan University, and journalists from such mass media as Xinhua News Agency, People’s Daily, Guangming Daily, Legal Daily, Procuratorate Daily.

The Annual Report on the Implementation of the Rule of Law in China was first launched by China Behavior Law Association in conjunction with Zhongnan University in 2013. The purpose of the Report is to record the process of development of the rule of law in China, conduct a systematic “annual check up” of the practice of the construction of the rule of law in China, and to offer suggestions on the implementation of the rule of law in China. The 2015 Annual Report, jointly compiled by 52 experts from 18 prominent universities, six government departments, and two mainstream mass media, gives a comprehensive and detailed introduction to the situation of implementation of the rule of law in China in the year 2015.

At the Seminar on the Implementation of the Rule of Law under the Strategic Arrangement of “Four Comprehensivenesses”, the participants carried out in-depth discussions on such issues as the innovation of the theory of the rule of law, state governance and the implementation of the rule of law, national development strategy, micro rule of law, implementation of the constitutional law, new trends of development of the rule of law in the Internet+ era, judicial reform, the construction of the rule of law in the field of finance, transparency of government affairs, and adjustment of the family planning policy. Two scholars from CASS Law Institute, Professor Zhou Hanhua and Professor Zhi Zhenfeng, attended the seminar and expressed their views on relevant issues.
