On January 23, 2016, the Seminar on the Relationship Between Branch Laws and the Protection of the Right of Personality was successfully held at CASS Law Institute. The seminar was jointly organized by the Center for Private Law Studies and the Civil Law Department of CASS Law Institute and the Project Team on “Sustainable Development and the Value Orientation of the Chinese Civil Code” under the Social Science Funds and attended by over 40 famous experts and senior judges in the field of constitutional law, administrative law, criminal law, and commercial law. The seminar was divided into two parts, keynote speeches and comments and discussions, in which the participants carried out in-depth discussions on various issues relating to the protection of the right of personality, such as the nature of the right of personality; protection of the right of personality under constitutional law, civil law, and criminal law; the differences between the protection of the right of personality under public law and under private law; the protection of the right of personality of criminal suspects; and the generalization of the right of personality in the field of civil law.
