In the morning of November 18, 2015, Professor Sun Xianzhong, a senior research fellow of the Civil Law Department of CASS Law Institute, met with Professor Roy Prosterman, the founder of Landesa Rural Development Institute of U.S. and a professor University of Washington Law School, and answered questions raised by Professor Prosterman relating to the development of land rights in rural China, including the term of contractual right of land, transfer of rural land, and the system of separation of the ownership, the contractual right, and the management right of rural land in China. Professor Prosterman thanked Professor Sun for his replies and expressed the hope to further strengthen the cooperation between his institute and CASS Law Institute. Also attending the meeting were Professor Ranhao, an associate research fellow of CASS Law Institute and over 20 graduate students and Ph.D. candidates of the Law Faculty of CASS Graduate School.
