Three Professors of CASS Law Institute Given Awards for Special Contribution to the Development of Constitutional Law in China

The Annual Conference of Chinese Society of Constitutional Law (2015), jointly organized by the Society and Guizhou University, was held in Guiyang City, Guizhou Province on October 24-25, 2015, on the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of the establishment of the Society. At the conference, the Society launched the book Constitutional Law Scholars in Contemporary China and gave the “award for special contribution to the development of constitutional law” to 19 older-generation constitutional law scholars to acknowledge their contributions to the development of the constitutional law in China. The book Constitutional Law Scholars in Contemporary China contains the academic biographies of eleven older-generation constitutional law scholars who have made outstanding contributions to the development of Chinese Society of Constitutional Law and the constitutional law research in China, including three from the CASS Law Institute: Professor Zhang Youyu, the first director of CASS Law Institute; Professor Wang Shuwen, the fourth director of CASS Law Institute; and Professor Zhang Qingfu, the former head of Constitutional and Administrative Department of CASS Law Institute. Among the winners of the “award for special contribution to the development of constitutional law”, there are also three researchers from the CASS Law Institute: Professors Zhang Qingfu, Chen Yunsheng and Luo Yaopei.
