The 2015 Beijing Forum on Human Rights, jointly organized by the China Society for Human Rights Studies and the China Foundation for Human Rights Development, was held in Beijing on September 16-17, 2015. The seminar took "peace and development: victory of World Anti-Fascist War and human rights advancement" as its main theme and was attended by more than 100 officials and human rights experts from more than 30 countries and regions. Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a congratulation letter to the Forum. Mr. Liu Qibao (R, front), head of the publicity department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee gave a speech at the opening ceremony of the Forum. A number of scholars from CASS Law Institute and CASS Institute of International Law, including Professor Liu Hainian, Director of CASS Center for Human Rights Studies, Professor Li Buyun, Honorary Member of CASS, Professor Liu Huawen, Assistant Director of CASS Institute of International Law and Deputy Director and Sectary-General of CASS Center for Human Rights Studies, and Professors Zhu Xiaoqing and Professor Dai Ruijun, two research fellows of CASS Institute of International Law, attended the opening ceremony and other sessions of the forum.
