On August 24-27, 2015, an investigation Team of CASS Law Institute, led by professor Mo Jihong, attended a series of symposiums on judicial reform in Jiangsu Province. On August 24, the investigation team visited the People’s Court of Jiangyin City to investigate the construction and operation of the “Video Management Platform for Court Execution Command Center” and various trial divisions and mediation rooms, and to learn about the understandings, experiences, and opinions of grassroots judicial officials on judicial reform. At the People’s Procuratorate of Jiangyin City, members of the investigation team exchanged opinions on various issues of judicial reform with officials from the Political and Legal Affairs Committee, the People’s Court, the People’s Procuratorate, Public Security Bureau and Judicial Administration Bureau of Jiangyin City. On August 25, the investigation team attended the “Symposium on Judicial Reform” at the Intermediate People’s Court of Yangzhou City. At the symposium, officials from the Political and Legal Affairs Committee, the People’s Court, the People’s Procuratorate, Public Security Bureau and Judicial Administration Bureau of Yangzhou City shared their rich experiences of judicial reform with members of the investigation team. On August 26, the investigation team visited the Intermediate People’s Court of Taizhou City and attended a symposium on judicial reform with officials from the Political and Legal Affairs Committee, the People’s Court, the People’s Procuratorate, Public Security Bureau and Judicial Administration Bureau of Yangzhou City. On August 27, members of the research team visited the Citizens’ Center of Wuxi City and exchange opinions on various issues of judicial reform with officials from the Political and Legal Affairs Committee, the People’s Court, the People’s Procuratorate, the Public Security Bureau and the Judicial Administration Bureau of the city. The symposiums have provided important support to the experts of the investigation team in submitting their opinions on judicial reform to the decision-making organs of the Central Government.
